Health and social service providers have a statutory responsibility to deliver services that meet the need of all communities particularly the disadvantaged communities e.g. BME. Health inequalities in cancer services are a reality in the UK. There is evidence to support a disproportionate burden of specific cancers in some BME communities, e.g. men of African Caribbean decent are three times more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than the white male population.
We provide consultancy to support the development and effective delivery of services to, and use of provision, by BME communities.
